We take on projects that advance at least eight of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals. This is a screening rule applied before we commit, not a description written afterwards.

The reasoning is practical as much as ethical. Interventions that deliver across water, livelihoods, health, biodiversity and climate together tend to be the ones communities sustain, governments support and finance recognises. A project that produces carbon alone depends entirely on one price in one market. A project that also restores springs, creates local employment and rebuilds habitat carries value through any single market's weather.
